    Popular ornamental shrub, up to 12 ft tall. Blooms in August, and flowers resemble the famous Chinese hibiscus, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis.


    Rose of Sharon  requires minimal care. Each flower only lasts for a few days, but the shrub overall stays in bloom for a few weeks. The blooms are quite large and showy as well. A great late-summer interest plant
