About the event
Join staff from Franklin County NRCD, US Fish and Wildlife Service Partners for Fish and Wildlife, Vermont Agency of Agriculture (CREP program), and more to learn about innovative planting techniques, compare different site treatments and conditions, and control invasive species. We will visit two sites in Montgomery and Berkshire, VT to specifically look at plantings in cornfields vs sod, site preparation, natural regeneration, and knotweed control. We will be visiting the Salmon and Doe properties to learn more from the folks who helped plan, plant, and maintain these two sites. This event is one in a series of three events in 2025 and 2026 designed to demonstrate and show our community of practitioners a variety of sites, styles, and outcomes associated with planting plans, preparation, and maintenance.
