New England NRCS Urban Agriculture Producer Survey

The New England Leadership Development Program - Urban Agriculture group of NRCS prepared an Urban Ag Producer Survey to help streamline outreach and needs assessment efforts to Urban Ag producers.

They are hoping to receive surveys back by Friday, Sept 30th.

This is a preliminary survey to assess the needs of urban farmers in the New England region. The information provided will be used for NRCS program planning purposes to determine how to best support Urban Agriculture in existing USDA cost share programs. Personal information from individuals providing information will not be shared unless previously authorized. This survey should take 15-20 minutes!

Urban Agriculture generally refers to the cultivation, processing and distribution of agricultural products in urban and suburban settings, including things like vertical production, warehouse farms, community gardens, rooftop farms, hydroponic, aeroponic, and aquaponic facilities, and other innovations. Urban farmers and gardeners work among diverse populations to expand access to nutritious foods, foster community engagement, provide jobs, educate communities about farming, and expand green spaces.
