Two webinars hosted by the Franklin County Natural Resources Conservation District will take place from 6 to 7 pm on Wednesdays 1/31 and 2/7. Come learn about how to use and manage nutrient-rich and abundant resources (manure and urine!) in our agricultural landscapes.


Why Do Farmers Spread Manure?

Wednesday 1/31 6 to 7 pm

Learn about what manure is, its role in soil health and nutrient cycles, and rules and regulations for water quality.


Urine Nutrient Reclamation for Clean Waters & Fertile Farms with Rich Earth Institute

Wednesday 2/7 6 to 7 pm

Learn what 'peecycling' is, how reclaimed urine can be used as an agricultural resource and pollution prevention strategy, and how gardeners can safely and effectively fertilize crops with urine in their own backyards.
