FCNRCD is hiring a Tree Planting and Sale Intern

The Franklin County NRCD is hiring a full-time (40 hr/week) Tree Planting and Sale Intern. We will begin reviewing applications on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Anticipated start date is mid-April 2026 and anticipated end date is early June 2026.

Salary: $20/hr, no additional benefits or paid time off associated with this position.

The Tree Planting and Sale Intern will support the work of the Franklin County Natural Resources Conservation District. Some key tasks will include planting trees and shrubs at several sites across Franklin County; stewardship of previous tree planting sites (weed whacking and hand pulling around young trees), evaluating survivorship of trees, assisting with annual bare-root tree sale through receiving, counting, tagging, organizing, and caring for plants; preparing orders for customers, etc. Exposure to a large network of natural resources careers and professionals will be included!
