Donate to a Great Cause Spearheaded by White River NRCD

Writer: FCNRCDFCNRCD

The White River Natural Resources Conservation District is launching a two-part fundraiser. They have acquired copies of Carol Irons' new book, Vermont Abenakis: a Brief History of the People of the Dawnland, Vermont's First Human Inhabitants. All donations of $30 or more will receive a copy of this text. Any donations over $30 will be used to purchase pasture seed for their Transition-to-Better-Grazing cohort. They hope to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of seed for their 12 farmers, and to pay Carol for her incredible work documenting the oral indigenous history of Vermont.
