On Saturday, May 13th from 10 am to 1 pm, the Franklin County Natural Resources Conservation District is helping to host the Missisquoi River Fishing Festival! Taking place at 387 St. Albans Street, Enosburg Falls, VT at the Missisquoi River Access, people of all ages and fishing experiences are welcome to share their love of the water and learn more about fishing! Everyone is welcome - no fishing experience required!
With a number of stations, activities, fishing, and opportunities to learn, the Fishing Festival hopes to encourage more people to connect with the rivers, fish, and wildlife travelling through our communities.
We will have friends from Trout Unlimited, Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Enosburgh Conservation Commission, Missisquoi River Basin Association, and others hosting stations to learn about and practice casting, knot and fly tying, fishing, species identification, sustainability, ecology, and so much more!
There will be a raffle with prizes and food for sale from our friends at Sessions Food & Tour Trailer. Parking will be available for this event at the doctors office at 44 Center St, Enosburg Falls.
Any questions - please contact us at info@FranklinCountyNRCD.org or call 802-528-4176
This event is funded by a grant from the Upper Missisquoi and Trout River (UMATR) Wild and Scenic Committee and is a part of the What's Out Here? Series.
